ESPNU was gracious enough to delay the selection show by 45 minutes so that we could all watch the 3rd place (blowout) game between to crappy mens basketball teams. With much anticipation I waited to see where the NCAA would send Furman (and the Huskers). As Heather took us through the bracket she revealed that the Paladins would have a short trip to Clemson for a showdown of biblical proportions against the Utes of Utah (way to be original). On a side note, the Huskers face Liberty at the Coliseum.
The bracket show continued down the right side of the bracket. I sent Ice a congrats and right before ESPNU headed to commercial we all heard that Stanford would take on Alabama in the first round.
WAIT! WTF!! DID SHE SAY ALABAMA?!?!
Hell yeah, Suede and Ice will both be dancin' this week. I couldn't believe it. I fired off a text to Suede to congratulate him as well. I called Max and as I was leaving him a voicemail, ESPNU came back and revealed that Stanford would be taking on ALBANY!!!
Heather you cruel woman why would you do this to me? Bring me to the point of pure joy and then bring reality crashing down. I should have known better than to fall for your games, but you knew exactly where to cut the deepest.
Billy, good luck on Friday. For those of you just tuning in, first serve is set for 5:00 p.m. EST on Friday December, 5th. Hopefully there will be a webcast or someone at the game can send me some text updates throughout the match.
IN A BATTLE WHERE NO ONE WILL WIN... WHO WILL WIN???
For those of you thinking I was talking about another Heather, shame on you. She's a nice girl

Dee. This is a very well written piece. So much so, that I thought perhaps it was written by a ghost writer. Not that I doubt your talents, its just that I am usually privy to articles including Rick Astly and thoughts about beer. Nicely done nonetheless!
FURMAN!!! Nice Post Truth. I was about ready to lace up the shoes for another week when I heard "Alabama vs Stanford". Oh well, I'll have to settle for "Iowa Rockets 15's vs NVA 15's"
